Strawberry Protein Mousse

Strawberry protein mousse.

Why this is peri-perfect… This strawberry protein mousse is more than just pretty and pink - it’s a smart choice for perimenopause. The high protein content helps steady blood sugar, curb cravings, and support lean muscle, which becomes even more important as estrogen drops. Strawberries add a burst of vitamin C for collagen production and skin health, along with antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress. Light, creamy, and naturally sweet, it’s a treat that feels indulgent but works hard behind the scenes to keep your energy stable, your mood balanced, and your body nourished. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Ingredients: (1 serve)

½ cup low-fat cottage cheese (100g)

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (30g)

2 tbsp Greek yoghurt

¼ cup strawberries (fresh or frozen, organic and super-ripe is ideal!)

1 tsp maple syrup or a few drops of stevia (optional)

½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

1tbs roasted almonds, chopped finely for topping

Instructions:

1.     In a blender, blend the cottage cheese, protein powder, yoghurt, strawberries, sweetener (if using) until smooth and pudding-like.

2.     Scoop into a bowl or jar.

3.     Sprinkle with chopped almonds and cinnamon just before serving.

4.     Eat chilled or straight away (it's lush either way).

Per serve: 300 calories, 30g protein, 4g fibre
